    What was claimed

    25 counts of extortion by a public officer (section 151, Criminal Offences Act 1960), conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering (Anti-Money Laundering Act 2020). The OSP alleges GH₵280,516,127.19 was extorted from petroleum transporters and oil marketing companies between 2022 and December 2024, including GH₵24 million paid directly to Abdul-Hamid in 2024, and that proceeds were laundered through the three companies.
